Christmas pudding - love it or hate it?

Christmas is closing in so fast, I'm fast running out of time to get things sorted. Considering I've done sod all, that shouldn't come as any surprise to me. But it's crept up on me all the same.
I'm still going to talk about Christmas Day drinks and some nibbles too. But today is the turn of dessert.
I know many people out there are Christmas pudding fans, but most of the Ferris clan aren't so I rarely have the classic Christmas dessert. There's no point me going to all that trouble just for myself.
This year's we've split it up, I'm looking after the starter and a ham, mouthy sister is looking after mains and non-mouthy sister is looking after dessert. She's toying with the idea of a nice pavlova.
I thought Nigella's pavlova looked good last night until she put the topping on. The base looked lovely and sticky and is probably a great place to start and then put your own toppings on.
It's a tricky one for me, what with Mrs F being a Christmas baby and all, so I normally try and do a birthday cake too.
Last year I think I made some sort of toffee cake.
What's your favourite recipe for Christmas dessert. Are you an xmas pudding fan, or do you prefer a simple cheesecake? Let us know. And don't forget tomorrow afternoon is when I pick the best comment
