Shifting into the Light

We spend our lives looking for ways to get what we want and to feel good.

Here we have two choices in life: living a love-based life or living a fear-based life.

In the beginning, feeling good is at the core of all we do, just look at any infant.

They have no problem wanting to feel good: be fed, dry, warm and loved.

They are fully connected to the Source of all things.

We know that because they are full of joy, and then they grow up.

As we age, we begin to make a shift in what we are looking for, and somewhere along the way we get stuck.

We start listening to the voices around us from our school, families, society in general, and move away from the joy of living, away from our true purpose in life.

I am not suggesting that we do not complete our socialization process.

It is important part of our growth cycle to evolve in this way.

I am suggesting that we not get stuck on a perpetual treadmill that moves no where.

We live our lives doing things the same way, and expecting a different outcome.

So do something different to get a different response.

Make that goal to keep energy lifted to its highest state of consciousness.

This keeps the flow of energy in and around us moving.

So to keep it coming to us, we need to reframe our thinking about what we see.

Light Shifting is a process of moving from a position of fear and control to trusting the intuitive part of the self to dissolve the ego to its highest state of consciousness.

We can get there through meditation, reframing our thinking, acts of love or within the memory of love and music.

During these processes we make better decisions, experience greater states of health, are more in touch with synchronistic events, more focused, and shine from the inside out.

Light Shifting increases the frequency of one's energy, vibrating higher and higher to its purest state of light and love.

You have the power to live at this level--take your power!

5 Most Destructive Habits That Hold You Back

If you think about your daily life a vast majority of what you do is defined by the habits you have developed over time.

It stands to reason then, your habits have a crucial role to play in whether your succeed or struggle through your life.

From the moment we get out of bed we are already to a large extent living out the habits we have programmed into our subconscious, from the morning routine right through to how we get ourselves ready for work.

The journey to work and our work day is largely already defined into a routine.

We may catch the same train, even standing at the same spot on the platform.

Or we might drive to work taking the same route every morning.

So if habits play a big part of your day and therefore could have a great influence in making your day productive and successful then if you don't already live the life you want then you might well have destructive habits holding you back.

    1. They are negative from the moment they get out of bed.

Have you ever woke up and just felt drained and tired.

We have all had bad starts to our day but if you focus on why today is going to be a bad day chances are you are going to live a pretty average day.

The attitude you have from the moment you get out of bed can have a lasting influence on the way your day eventuates.

Starting your day on a positive and uplifting way will certainly get you focusing on the good things you have in life.

Our society has largely evolved into a instant gratification kind of world.

We expect our food instantly, we don't like to wait in line and we certainly don't want to have to wait to have what we want.

We find easy credit, we look for easy work and we want easy ways to have fun.

The cost of buying into the notion of instant gratification is that we don't stick to things till completion.

As soon as things starts to get hard or obstacles presents themselves we quit.

The people who lift you are those who encourage you, inspire you and praise you to become the person you ought to be.

On the other hand those who lean on people are focused on the negative side of life, they are cynical, they always find the negative in everything and because their life is imperfect that are more than happy to point out how your living an imperfect existence too.

No matter who you are, how powerful you are or how much influence you have the one thing you cannot control is time.

We are all allocated the same amount of hours each day and how we utilize them will determine the amount of joy and fulfillment we have in our lives.

Because they are always jumping from one impulse to the next they are often scattered and lack any real focus towards any useful attainment or life progress.

  • Taming Your Inner Critic

Carry around a pocketful of paper clips.

If you don't have any, then GO TO THE STORE AND BUY SOME.

They are very inexpensive, and although this may seem silly, you will be surprised what you will learn about yourself by doing this exercise and how quickly you will be able to change your bad habit..

Now, every time you have a negative thought about something, or a doubt about your ability to get something you want, etc..., hook one of the paper clips together with another, forming a chain - the chain will get longer as the day goes on.

If you are in a place where it would be awkward or draw too much attention to hook a paper clip to the chain, then at least transfer one of the paper clips to the other pocket.

After awhile, it will become a habit for you to redirect or guide your thoughts towards your desires - towards what you DO want, instead of what you DON'T want.

And this is a critical step in using the Law of Attraction.

  • Tips on Managing Time in Limited Time

From the first part, we learn that we have less time in a day to do many things, there are things in our life which we cannot avoid, that have become our daily routinities.

    Eating

We need to eat to live and though I accept the fact that people have different eating habits and times, I think that and I am sure doctors will agree with me that a person needs three meals a day and should take at least ten minutes to ingest a meal and not just gobble it down.S

o that makes it 30 minutes for food.P

lease do not raise an argument now.I

promise to deal with this bit later on.T

ime with family and friends. Please we are human beings, are not we?

And we certainly cannot get along with our business of life without chatting a few minutes every now and then with our friends and the family too.

So now what do we have left?

We started off with 14 hours of waking time.

And we proceed to add up all the time that we accounted for in the above mentioned points; let us see how much time we have left for productive work provided we still want to exist as human beings.

The activities mentioned above would take when put together a good three hours and twenty minutes.

Now if we proceed to subtract this figure from our 14 hours of waking time, what do we get?

We are left with just ten hours forty minutes.

So from now on dont you think that it would be more realistic to say that we have just ten hour and forty minutes to accomplish a days work and not twenty four hours.

But wait there is more to this story than meets the eye.

I hate to disillusion you but these crucial hours that we have painstakingly added up are not really put to constructive use.

Till now, we have been harping about how valuable time is and how time lost is time lost forever and so on.

But now we come to a strange concept and that is Time Killers.

There are a lot of time killers in this world and what you have to do is that you have to identify these time killers, look out for them and stay wary of tem.

Often these were people I knew from work or a writing group.

They liked me, and sought me out, and I went along.

The fact is, those people didn't have anything I needed, and by "wasting time" with them, I suffered far greater consequences.

    I once had a coworker I liked a lot.

This did not affect me much at first.

Eventually, I left to start my own web design firm.

What I mean by that is that their attitudes were not attitudes I want to cultivate.

I may be an exception, but I doubt it.

I urge you to consider the idea of surrounding yourself with role models - your friends, your coworkers, your employees, even your employer.

Spend your time with the right people, not the convenient ones, and you'll notice you feel more like the you you've always wanted to be.

What does that person do for recreation?

  • The ONE WORD that can change your life immediately!

Food and Drink The ONE WORD that can change your life immediately!

Did you know there is ONE WORD that when you apply it can change your life immediately?

Kind of hard to believe that one word could have that much power isn't it?

The word, as most everything that works, is directly linked to your mind.

Our minds hold all the power, they are the center of our universe.

All that we see and don't see is governed by the beliefs we hold and therefore tell us what our 'truth' is.

One person believes 100% in UFO's and can site tons of evidence while another thinks its all a hoax and can site tons of evidence to back up his belief as well.

When I was laid off 3 weeks before Christmas in 1994 it was probably the lowest point I've ever been in my life.

I had over $15,000 worth of credit card debt and no job.

I was on unemployment for a while then I got 2 jobs, one at GNC and one selling healthriders, both working at malls.

And it has never been the same since.

I was so tired of being in debt and being at the mercy of working for someone else, I got so mad that I finally said ENOUGH!

At that moment in time I decided that I would now decide the direction of my life.

I decided to start some kind of a business so I would not be at the whim of a boss anymore.

These were not just wishes they were decisions.

And I committed to not stopping until they were reality.

Once I stopped listening to 'the crowd' and began to decide for myself what was okay and not okay, my life changed and has been amazing ever since.

Give this magic word a try in your life and see what it can do for you.

  • Success and The Law of Attraction

Your key to manifesting your desires in your life is learning how to effectively connect to and harness this power.

In fact, when I first learned of these principles I thought they seemed like a bunch of wacky 'new age' mumbo jumbo.

What mattered to me, really, was not who believed in the truth and effectiveness of these principles, or how strange they seemed, or even if I felt silly applying them.

Regardless of where you are starting from, or what your background or belief system, you will find that when you learn to effectively apply these principles to your everyday life real change will occur, and they will occur at a breathtaking speed.

Each thought that you have has a direct effect on your physical reality.

Most of us go through our lives feeling as if we are at the mercy of external events - we believe that things 'happen to us.'

But what I have come to believe, to know really, is that things don't just happen to us.

You are accepting full responsibility for your life.

It's not our parents' fault, it's not "luck" and it's not "fate."

Where you are right now is not necessarily good or bad - it just is.

The Universe doesn't have an opinion on what you choose to draw into your life.

"Spirit is substance which forms itself according to your demands, and must have a pattern from which to work.

A pan of dough is as willing to be formed into bread as biscuit.

When I first discovered how to effectively apply these principles, I decided to do a little experiment.

I had made some poor financial decisions, and my attitude was one where I was focused almost completely on the 'lack' in my life.

What I was really doing without realizing it, by focusing on what I did not want, by focusing on what I was lacking, was perpetuating the situation and continually attracting those things that I did not want into my life.

I made a list of all of my upcoming bills and expenses that I felt I was in danger of having trouble meeting.

I then began applying the principles to my situation.

"I am grateful for all that I have and all that I am.

I desire to have at least $13,000 to come into my life.

By effectively applying the principles I had learned, within 5 weeks I had a series of 'windfalls' totalling over $15,000.

  • How to Achieve What You Want Through Goal Setting

Have you ever read the autobiography of a great financier or businessman of the past?

How about the biography of a successful inventor or scientist?

Most of the great achievers in life were natural born goal setters.

They started at an early age to challenge themselves to reach the next objective.

Goal setting forms a road map to the destination of fulfilled dreams.

Goals are best organized by area of life and then by the "due date."

For instance, if you want to really achieve the life you dream of, it is a good idea to set goals in areas like social/community life, spiritual growth, and health/fitness as well as job, career, or finances.

This takes some consideration, and it is not essential that you get it perfect.

In fact, perfectionism will actually keep you from reaching your goals.

Perfectionism, by the way, tends to exacerbate procrastination, which is a major killer of goals and dreams.

Often the reason we procrastinate is because we have trouble making up our minds.

The reason we have trouble making decisions is that we are afraid we won't make the perfect decision.

Think also about where you need to be in six months, or a year, or three years, in order to eventually achieve that dream life.

Would you like to be a successful speaker, writer, athlete, or performing artist?

Then goal setting will help you get your educational requirements and practice schedule nailed down.

Do they conflict with your basic feelings about ethics or morality?

Or are you thinking that reaching a certain goal will fulfill your every emotional need?

  • Kaizen - The Secret To Your Success

The Japanese employed this concept of constant improvement after the second world war to great effect.

They believed in small constant and never ending improvements to everything they did.

The results might be small day to day but over time the results would be huge.

They managed to take Japan to a economic powerhouse in relatively short order.

The Japanese call this concept of constant improvement Â"KaizenÂ".

Firstly strive to find innovations and question everything you are doing to look for improvements.

A simply tip is to actually grab a piece of paper each day and sit down until you come up with 20 ways to improve what you are doing in life.

It could be small things and even seemingly insignificant ideas but the concept is to get your creative juices flowing till you come up with 20 new ideas.

This brainstorming should take you anywhere between 30-60 mins daily which is a great investment in yourself considering the potential benefits that these ideas could generate for your life.

By turning this into a habit your mind will become receptive of little ideas throughout your day and the ideas will begin to flow easier over time.

Once you have your daily 20 ideas written down you will then need to get a system together to start to determine which ideas to implement and which ideas to discard.

You certainly would not want to be implementing all 20 ideas each day as this will scatter your focus and will not benefit you long term.

Most of your ideas will prove to be useless and you will find that your last several ideas each day tend to be the winners.

Regardless of which ideas you choose you will want to start what in many circles are called Â"swipe filesÂ".

You will want to create a swipe file of all your daily ideas.

You probably wonÂ't notice much over days that the laser is no longer pointing directly at its target but over time you will realize that the laser is now pointing at a totally new target.

You may not necessarily notice that the small changes are changing your life much but over time you will realize that your path is pointing at a whole new destination and most likely a better destination at that.

  • Tear Up Your To Do Lists!

Food and Drink Tear Up Your To Do Lists!

Most of you have those tedious To Do list that you create in an effort to get more things done in your day.

But let us take time to really look at your To Do list.

The actual words To Do have a negative connotation, and when you look at that list on a daily basis you think to yourself, I MUST get this stuff done!

It is like meeting a deadline on a daily basis.

You should just call it your To Do Not list, because it is not something that you even look forward to doing.

So, what kinds of things are on these To Do list?

That is right, this is an example of the infamous To Do list that you write out every day, and you drive yourself crazy trying to get everything done.

Then at the end of the day, you wad up your list and throw it away.

No matter if you finished everything or not.

Why should you torture yourself by making a list of things that will ultimately hang over your head all day long.

Plus, most of the time the things on your To Do list are important to you and you should feel a sense of accomplishment after you complete them.

I know that you are saying to yourself, John, I have to write things down or I will not do them, and these things are important.

I agree with you 100%, but there is another way, something you will not hate and resent doing on a daily basis.

You must make this list important to you and feel good about yourself when you complete it or even most of it.

Does not that sound better and more powerful?

How would you feel at the end of your day if you accomplished the majority of things on your Champion Checklist?

Do not throw it away day after day after day.

Keep your Champion Checklist in a journal or simply a notebook.

This will allow you to look back at your lists at the end of the week and see all of the things that you achieved.

On the other hand, it will also act as your guide to things that you can do better such as time management.

My challenge for you today is to commit to tearing up your To Do list and replace it with a Champion Checklist.

Every habit is successful because it produces a result.

Except the two top habits of failures are indecision and procrastination.

There is hardly time for him to grab a bite to eat, so what he does is that he runs to the cafeteria and gets a sandwich and coffee.

The coffee he manages to gulp down but the sandwich remains in its wrapper as he notices an interesting article in the newspaper that was still tucked away under his arm.

He reads it in the elevator on his way up and reaches his office just in time for his secretary to tell him that there is important meeting for him with the Board Members within half an hour.

The meeting goes on till noon, you know how people love to talk, and Ben leaves the room with a lot of praises and even more new assignments.

He has had one more coffee, but the sandwich that he had ordered is now fit for the waste bin.

And mind you this is the third time this week that Ben missed breakfast.

Just before noon Ben gets a seemingly endless number of calls from this agent and then that.

At last by half past two Ben leaves his office and makes a beeline to the cafeteria.

Just as he takes a big bite out of his monster burger, his cell phone beeps.

He answers the call to find out that it is a call from a very important client whom he had been trying to fix an appointment with.

The meeting turned out to better than he expected and a beaming Ben returns to his office and sits down to a host of pending paper work which keeps him occupied till seven in the evening.

At half past seven he remembers his date with Kellie and though he rushes to the spot, he reaches there half an hour late and goes home without meeting Kellie and with an empty stomach and a weary body.

Like most of the people used to say, time is money; if you loose time then you will also loose the money.

You Can Deal With Your Depression

The person who works the hardest doesnÂ't necessarily have the highest salary.

If you turn up to work each morning and have a poor attitude because you donÂ't want to be there then this will show in the productivity and your work.

If you really donÂ't like your boss then either change jobs or reframe it in a way that you are working to produce the best work that you possibly can for you.

The next step is to visualize the goal that you have in mind.

They say that what you focus with intention most predominantly that the world has a way of manifesting that into your life.

If this sounds a little airy fairy then think about the next time you want to buy a new car or plan for a holiday.

All of a sudden you start to see that same make and model and even colour of the car you want to buy every where on the road when before you never noticed how popular that car was.

Or the fact you start to meet people all the time who have been on a holiday to the same place you are planning.

This also holds true for your goals like doubling your income.

When you focus and think about the goal then that becomes the overriding focus of your life.

Once you get momentum happening then everything starts to snowball.

Maybe itÂ's a conversation with someone who might have a better job offer, or a potential promotion or a new project that you can take on.

Get your momentum started today, change your attitude at work and start to visualize intensely the goal you have set.

What Are The Benefits of Controlling Your Emotions?

I was told by a counselor that one of the ways to manage depression is to challenge your negative thinking with positive statements and realistic thinking.

The fact of the matter is that there all are kinds of jobs available and just because you don't get this job promotion doesn't mean that you will never get one.

Some people get depressed and have a difficult time getting out of bed in the mornings.

When this happens, a person should take a deep breathe and try to find something to do to get their mind off of the problem.

Sometimes, we can get depressed over a task that we will have to perform in the near future.

When this happens, visualize yourself doing the task in your mind.

For instance, you and your team have to play in the championship volleyball game in front of a large group of people in the next few days.

Before the big day comes, imagine yourself playing the game in your mind.

Another technique that is very helpful is to have a small notebook of positive statements that make us feel good.

Whenever you come across an affirmation that makes you feel good, write it down in a small notebook that you can carry around with you in your pocket.

As a Layman and author of an anxiety book, I have done many interviews with various counselors in how to manage fear, anxiety and depression.

The techniques that I have just covered are some basic ways to manage your depression, however your best bet is to get some help from a professional.

Where to Begin on Your Path of Personal Growth

Most of the 64 Laws of Success are short and sweet, but very important to your success.

As the saying goes, sometimes less is more - pay attention!

Your brain is constantly on the lookout for what it can achieve or create next.

When you don't give your subconscious mind specific instructions on exactly what you want, how much of it, and when, it can't perform to the level that is within its power.

What is it that gets your juices flowing?

What gets you so excited that you can't sleep at night?

Fill out an "order form" of exactly what you want, how much, and by when, then give it to your brain by reading it (preferably out loud) at least three times every day.

Make sure to include specifics such as amount, size, color, date and any other details that are important to you.

Your subconscious will go immediately to work to create your goals as results in your life.

Along the journey of creation, your mind, now having daily instructions, will help make you aware of what to focus on, what to act on, who to pay attention to, and who and what to ignore.

Once you start taking action, you'll begin getting many types of feedback on how you're doing.

Respond to feedback positively, even that which is negative.

Can you see that the universe is telling you how, why and where to improve what you're doing?

You may find that much of the time (in fact, most of it!), you're veering off track and having to constantly adjust to eventually reach your destination.

Do you want to reach your goal even faster?

Ask your customers, clients, prospects, friends, and family members how they feel you're doing in a particular area on a scale of 1 - 10.

Keep in mind that all feedback isn't accurate because it relates to the person giving the feedback more than it does you (or your product or service).

You're going to fall off the bike a lot on the journey to achieving your goal.

Just get up, dust yourself off, get back on the bike, and keep riding.

Your expertise and skills are growing - keep at it!

How to Live a Life of Purpose

Are You A Winner Or A Loser?

The little bit extra is a very powerful concept to put into practice today in every aspect of your life.

The difference between being ordinary and being extraordinary is that little bit EXTRA.

In a sales process, the little bit extra is that one extra follow-up call, that extra sincere thank-you or the extra little bit of energy that you put into the presentation of your business.

You can either go through the motions of your business or you can give that little bit in order to cement yourself in the mind of your potential customer.

When I personally coach someone, one of my key strategies is to move them to become champions in their field.

One of the easiest ways is to show them the value of what a little extra eye contact with their prospects or customers brings.

This drives into them your confidence and conviction about what you and your product/service have to offer them.

As you progress in your journey towards fulfilling your WHY, you need to constantly give that little extra!

The true sign of a champion-to-be is just when it seems impossible for him/her to give that extra push; they dig deep down and give that little bit extra to fulfill their WHY!

When I speak to groups, I train them to have the mindset of always giving a little bit more than their competitor.

Over the long run, it will pay off big!

You need to realize someone will be the champion in your chosen endeavor.

Change Your Life One Minute At A Time

Have you ever thought that you CAN read your neighbor's mind?

Mind reading is not the secret of the mystics or beings from another planet, (tsk tsk).

Think backwards with me and you will understand how easy it really is to read minds.

Secretly observe them for a day or two.

Ask them regularly to describe how they feel.

Take notes for a few days and observe the results.

Take note of the results and outcomes in their life.

Every outcome and result you experience in your world first began as a thought in your or someone's mind.

According to one of the undeniable laws of the universe, The Law of Attraction, you always receive back into your life what you think, feel and project to the world.

The law states "That which you give your time, energy and attention to will be attracted to and be created in your life."

Words (are joined together in our minds to produce our) Thoughts.

Thoughts (are turned into) Feelings (and our feelings are expressed by our actions) which are the Results and Events (the visible outcomes of our lives).

As you understand how the law of attraction works you can understand what people are thinking and most importantly for yourself you can then frame your best thoughts in order to accomplish your best results.

Have you ever known a person who seems to be able to turn everything they touch into gold?

They are always successful and they always come out on the top.

Do they live on the right side of the street while you do not?

The only reason you might say things like this is to give yourself permission to play life as a victim.

Our minds lead us to our feelings that then attract and create our results.

Remember the philosopher who said, I think therefore I am?

In the Christian scriptures in the book of Romans it says, "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

It is fun to know you can read a person's mind by observing what they bring about and attract back into their life.

It is very telling thing to realize that your mind is the power house for the creation of your visible reality.

So you must be careful of what you do and the outcomes you produce because they say a great deal about what you think and feel.

Becoming An Information Filter And A Knowledge Sponge

The reality is that humans are social animals.

We are largely whether we would like to agree with it or not influenced by those around us, whether it be attitudes or values.

In fact billions of dollars each year are spent by marketing companies to capitalize on our need to socially conform.

For example when a wild elephant is to be tamed and trained, the best way to begin is by yoking it to one that has already been through the process.

All were good students and as a result I finished the year with a credit average.

However, when second year came around my friendship circle changed and the friends were more interested in maximizing college life then scholarship.

As social animals it is amazing to see how much we live up to the expectations of our friends, families and peers.

With this in mind it stands to reason then that if you want to succeed in life you need to find the right associations.

So if you want more abundance you find someone who is already living abundantly, if you want more happiness you find someone happy and joyful and if you want health find someone who lives with health radiantly in every aspect of your life.

If you associate yourself with the right people the power of osmosis will cause that which they focus on to you.

Studies have already show that if you are around sick people you too will soon be affected health wise and they have also shown that stress and anxiety can be shared amongst peers.

You can already see this in social settings.

Have you ever walked into a dinner when everyone was happy and joyous and all of a sudden someone enters the room and the room gets quite and moody.

The power to infect those around you is greater than we take credit for and if you want to see ultimate success in your life you need to be aware of this and determine for your own life who is going to speak loudest in your life.
